Aprilia announced details of its 2015 Caponord 1200 Rally during the Intermot Show in Cologne, Germany. The Italian marque presents it Rally edition as a more off-road worthy example of its premium-spec adventure-touring mount, complete with updated wheels, full complement of ADV accessories and a sophisticated electronics package.

Aprilia’s 2015 Caponord 1200 is, by now, old news. During our First Ride of the 2015 Capo back in March, our tester revealed that American riders would have access to the Travel Pack version of the machine, complete with all sorts of touring goodies like integrated saddlebags, handguards, adjustable windscreen and more. The 2015 Rally edition, at this point, appears destined for European markets only.

There are plenty of similarities between the Travel Pack and Rally models. They share the same 1197cc V-Twin and come with Aprilia Traction Control, Dynamic Damping, Ride-by-Wire, and Cruise control, but the Rally is undoubtedly the more rugged of the two. Among its standout features are new spoked wheels, the front a 19-incher as opposed to the dual 17-inch set-up on the Travel Pack model, and aluminum-covered panniers. The Rally also features a robust skid plate, supplementary LED lights and an oversized windshield.

New graphics give the 2015 Rally a vibrant look, with the Giallo Dune (Yellow) option shown here. There are also Verde Army (Green) and Grigio Safari (Grey) options. Price is TBA, with the release date for Euro markets set for January 2015.
